The developer tab contains the checkbox control that we need to use to insert a checkbox in Excel.

On the right, within the Main Tabs pane, check the Developer option.

Similarly, if you check the checkbox in for 2014, the value of cell C8 becomes TRUE.

The data for 2013 and 2014 is dependent on the linked cell (C7 and C8).
